The ‘Make Do and Mend - Women In Wartime’ project was launched by Judy Nash, Project Leader and former Curator of Sherborne Museum.
The project created a new oral history archive, aiming to encourage better use of collections to explore innovative and creative ways of increasing community learning and young people’s knowledge and understanding of the impact and contemporary significance of conflict.
The memories contributed are themed in four main categories:
- in the home
- everyday lifeand are searchable by region and year.
